Tommaso Peruzzi (d. 1488) was a longtime ally of Lorenzo de' Medici, until he had discovered that the Medici Bank had been stealing funds from the city to fund their endeavors. Before he could expose the Medici however, he was killed by Bruno Bernardi on the orders of Lorenzo.
