Pope Innocent VIII (1432 - July 25, 1492) born Giovanni Battista Cybo was pope from 1484 to 1492. He won the election after the Medici had managed to convince a majority of cardinals to vote for him over that of Cardinal Raffaele Riario and Stefano Nardini.
