Piccarda de' Medici is an Italian noblewoman of the Bueri House married to Giovanni de' Medici.
Biography[]
Piccarda was mother of Cosimo and Lorenzo de' Medici. She had a difficult relationship with her son Cosimo. He had been born as a twin and Damiano had died of drowning for which she had always blamed Cosimo.
Piccarda died of the Black Death at the family's vineyard.
